I’m a fan of Dawson for the design and construction of their knives, including the ergonomics, aesthetics, interesting always-changing designs, choice of materials, and of course sturdiness.
1. I love continued to make improvements to their sheaths. Current generation is best so far, and I appreciate the inclusion of holes and slots to give flexibility in carry options.
2. I was a bit disappointed that the Arizona copper finish on the knife I received had very little of the cool Dawson mottling that was shown prominently in the web page pictures. There was very little mottling on the grind area of the blade (which is the majority of the blade area), and only significant amounts on one side of the non-grind areas.
This knife was a birthday gift for my boyfriend. This is his first Dawson knife and his feedback is that he is beyond impressed with the beauty and utility of the knife and especially loves the way it feels in his hand. I emailed about a custom engraving before ordering and received and fast and courteous response. The Arizona copper metal finish is stunning and the engraving turned out beautiful. You've found a follower for life in him and I'm certain he will look to Dawson for all his future knives. Thank you! 🇺🇸
It's a Norinco Trench gun apologies for the communist heresy. Comparing this to what I know a Fairbairn-Sykes this thing is slick!
I don't even want to take this thing into the bush, found my new BBQ dagger.
I love the knife but the sheath is very awkward wearing it
I love the knife but the sheath I don’t like
What's not to like because everything about it is simply awesome! I able to make it scalpel sharp with such high quality steel.
