Designed with the American working man in mind, the rugged Contractor EDC is built from heavy-duty .210" CPM-MagnaCut steel to stand up to all your toughest jobs and toughest environments. Our beefiest EDC to date, the Contractor features a wider blade and thicker handle than any of our standard EDCs to give you plenty to hold onto in a compact, easy to carry package.  

CPM-Magnacut stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion or staining, and thanks to our own specialty heat treat, Dawson blades stay sharp up to twice as long as other premium steels. 

Our American-made G10 handle says, "Aw, that's cute" to rain, snow, mud and just about anything else you can think of. We designed all our handles for secure, comfortable, hot-spot free use in all seasons and textured them for improved grip when the going gets wet.

The Contractor also features a completely redesigned GEN 2 Carbon Fiber Kydex sheath, featuring an improved, rattle free fit, horizontal, vertical, MOLLE and beltless carry options and more. Specially designed for compatibility with the included UltiClip 3.3 Slim for secure, inside-the-pocket carry on the jobsite or around the ranch.

New Contractor EDC

I was looking for a smaller fixed blade to add to my rotation. I never had heard of Dawson Knives until I saw one of the knife influencers mention so I dig deeper and found the website. I eventually made the decision to give them a try and ordered the new offering EDC Contractor in Magnacut. The knife came in a large package and well set up with protection around the knife and sheath, a Certificate of Authenticity, a company type card, and a nice pacing slip. The knife itself is a solidly built and visually pleasing with red/ black G-10 scales and a very pointy sharp stealth black blade. The knife fits my hand perfectly and slides and clicks into the kydex stealth with ease, all very secured. The draw and cutting actions are very smooth and easy. This is a great style and I am extremely pleased with this product. The price point was fair, especially in this crazy market where costs and materials have risen dramatically. I look forward to a great run with my new Contractor fixed blade and its capabilities. Thank to the Dawson crew for making a high quality product.

Great design and quality

I was looking for a short, heavy blade utility knife and here it is! And its sheath is perfect as well - light, strong, adjustable retention, and not too big. It being MagnaCut stainless is another plus since I live and work on the gulf coast. Thanks, Dawson team for another great knife!
