Gen 2 Nomad

The Gen 2 Nomad handle circumference is too small. It doesn't fill my hand like the handle did on earlier Dawson products like the copper canyon.

Truly Buy It For Life

I have had my Dawson Handyman for the last nine years. During this time, I have abused it in every possible way imaginable yet it still refuses to give up. It has been far and away my favorite piece of my EDC kit since I first received it. Fast forward to a month ago when I received an email notifying me that I was the Dawson Nomad giveaway winner. I was over the moon when I finally unboxed the knife and continue to be in awe over the Dawson family’s attention to detail and consistency in their product. I look forward to purchasing my son and daughter their own Dawson EDCs when they come of age. Thank you all for the work you do and for maintaining such high standards for your products.

Made in America, folks - Dawson Knives are truly Buy It For Life.

Fit, finish, quality are ALL second to none. Among the best craftsmanship I have yet to review, test and EDC. Sheath quality, retention, and quick access are top notch and ideal. Customer service is a true joy and pleasure to work with and learn a tremendous amount from, especially as blade material and necessary edge geometry are all matters a third generation custom knife company certainly knows a phenomenal amount about!!

Bad Ass

The Nomad has a nice weight and grip. Feels snuggled in my hand. I have medium sized hands. Looks like it can take some abuse with ease. The deep finger choil allows for a strong controlled grip. The craftsmanship is second to none. I have the blue black G10 handle, and it’s a little dark but in good light you can see the design. The sheath can be a little bit more compact and the handle could stick out a little more to have a better grip when extracting knife. Can’t wait to use in the field. Great product and would purchase again.

Nomad Satin Finish

This is my fourth Dawson Knife. I bought a Deep Notch several years ago and was so impressed I bought two more as gifts - one for my hunting partner and one for my son. Had them engraved with their names as well. The Deep Notch is a true EDC - right down to the inside the pocket sheath. That knife fits my hand perfectly. Quality blade. Back to the Nomad - I really like the satin finish on this one. And it is super sharp. I was hoping it was a tad bigger than the Deep Notch for hunting (although I've cleaned several deer with the Deep Notch without a hitch). And I got exactly that - a very quality blade that's a touch bigger. It may very well take the number one spot in my hunting line up. The craftmanship of the Nomad is perfect - not a flaw anywhere. Drop point shape for "do it all" functionality. And it fits my hand very nicely. Couldn't be happier with this knife. Before leaving, here's an idea - bring back the Deep Notch with a MagnaCut Satin finish. That would be the ultimate EDC. And I'd be all over that. To the Dawson Team - whatever it is you do, and however you're doing it - keep it up. These are very high quality blades at a very reasonable price and they're made right here in the United States. Thanks for all you do.
