The Wilderness is a gothic unicorn, the pot of gold at the end of a steely rainbow - a do-it-all field and hunting knife often dreamed of but not often brought to life. Inspired by the legendary Greenriver hunting/skinning blade pattern, with a fine point for piercing and plenty of belly for peeling back hide. Crafted from .140" CPM-3V steel, it's tough, razor sharp, yet easy to carry when weight is at a premium.  

Our American-made G10 handle says, "Aw, that's cute" to rain, snow, mud and just about anything else you can think of. We designed all our handles for secure, comfortable, hot-spot free use in all seasons and textured them for improved grip when the going gets wet.

A Very Special Knife Indeed!

I had been going back and forth for months trying to decide on which Dawson knife I wanted to purchase, when I happened to come across this one of a kind Wilderness model in CPM-3V steel and the Arizona Copper finish on the website. I knew instantly that this knife was the one I wanted. Upon receipt, I was completely blown away with the fit and finish of this knife. The Arizona Copper finish is perfect, and I was so impressed with how comfortable the handle is in my large hands. The edge geometry and grind on the blade are spot on as well. Having prior experience with CPM-3V steel, I know that this knife will take a beating with a smile, and will keep asking for more! This will be my main hunting knife going forward.

My biggest take away though is that I love how this company puts their faith at the very center of everything they do, and I love how it is incorporated into the knives they produce. This is such a rarity these days, and so refreshing to see. I pray that God continues to bless the Dawson family and all of their future endeavors. Thanks for a great knife and God bless!
