The Armageddon is built from .210" CPM-MagnaCut, one of the toughest and most highly refined cutlery steels available, milled at one of the last surviving steel mills in the United States. CPM-Magnacut is highly resistant to corrosion or staining, and thanks to our own specialty heat treat, Dawson blades stay sharp up to twice as long as other premium steels. Rockwell C 61-62.

During this special release, the Armageddon sword is available in your choice of handle materials: Arizona Ironwood harvested from the Sonoran desert, OR American-made G10 in Red + Black, White + Black, Ultrex Camo or NEW Two-Tone Black. Tough as nails and impervious to the elements.

Armageddon 19" CPM 3V Sword: a Survival Tool

I have a range of functional applications planned for the Dawson Armageddon Sword. Not only to keep it in reserve as a self-defense weapon that doesn't run out of ammo and is portable but as a bushcraft tool, machete, etc. I did a lot of research before pulling the trigger. Once I settled on Dawson as the sword maker the question became CPM Magnacut vs CPM 3V. The choice of steel is ultimately a determination the best compromise between the steel's strengths and weaknesses. Initially, I leaned toward Magnacut but finally determined that 3V was the better choice for Swords and Machetes because of its strength (except in marine environments in which the corrosion resistance of Magnacut would win out) and Magnacut for knives. I went with the Arizona Copper finish; the sword is a work of art that I'm going to put to hard use. The Work Sharp Ken Onion Tool attachment seems the best device to maintain the blade. Well done Dawson.

Received the sword and was very impressed with the balance, finish. Sharp and lethal. Definitely worth the money, paying for premium steel and craftsmanship. If you are debating between a short or long sword, go for the longer sword. If you need a short sword, this is the one.

hands and the grip is small for me but ok; I may try a
paracord wrap.

So glad you all did a rare release of this sword. I been wanting one of these for years in the CPM-Magnacut steel and you finally did it!!! The amount of craftsmanship and skill that goes into all of your products is truly remarkable. I own several knifes and now my first sword and it won't be the last. Outstanding Quality That You Rarely See These Days

The knives are simple stunning to look at. The fit and finished is a 10 out of 10. Being a perfectionist, I can find even a minor fault in just about anything at any price point. But on these knives, I honestly can't think of one thing I would change. God Bless and keep up the work!

Nomad Satin Finish

This is my fourth Dawson Knife. I bought a Deep Notch several years ago and was so impressed I bought two more as gifts - one for my hunting partner and one for my son. Had them engraved with their names as well. The Deep Notch is a true EDC - right down to the inside the pocket sheath. That knife fits my hand perfectly. Quality blade. Back to the Nomad - I really like the satin finish on this one. And it is super sharp. I was hoping it was a tad bigger than the Deep Notch for hunting (although I've cleaned several deer with the Deep Notch without a hitch). And I got exactly that - a very quality blade that's a touch bigger. It may very well take the number one spot in my hunting line up. The craftmanship of the Nomad is perfect - not a flaw anywhere. Drop point shape for "do it all" functionality. And it fits my hand very nicely. Couldn't be happier with this knife. Before leaving, here's an idea - bring back the Deep Notch with a MagnaCut Satin finish. That would be the ultimate EDC. And I'd be all over that. To the Dawson Team - whatever it is you do, and however you're doing it - keep it up. These are very high quality blades at a very reasonable price and they're made right here in the United States. Thanks for all you do.
