This GEN 2 Contractor is an awesome knife. The CPM-Magnacut blade arrived razor-sharp and the new Midnight Finish looks great. I like that it is compact and lightweight enough for everyday carry. Highly recommended!

The Shepard is beautiful. It's now my go to EDC as it's the kinda blade you can use for multiple purposes. Hefty fills the hand very nice and not to big for small fine cutting, yet I can chop with it too. Very pleased with the Shepard. Thank you Dawson Fam.
Exactly as I had hoped! Extreme quality build with attention to detail. Very tough specs in a relatively small package. We'll worth the investment! The only criticism I have is relative to manner by which the sheath mounts on my belt. The mount requires the removal of the belt, adds bulk to overall sheath and does not support a horizontal carry. A wide, secure clip attached to kydex sheath with the ability to swivel 90 degrees would be a much better option. Nevertheless, the provided sheath is durable and functional with good retention. Overall, the Contractor is a superb EDC knife.
