Millennium Sword
I remember once standing behind Barry's table at a trade show in California. A young man approached the table wearing loose fitting black cargo pants and a black tee shirt. His hair was fastened in a short ponytail. He greeted Barry as he approached. He reached casually across his waist with his right hand as if to adjust his belt; then without warning and quicker than you could say, "Beautiful day!" he pulls a 16" Millennium sword out of his left pocket to show Barry. I stood for a moment or two with my mouth wide open, and then slowly backed up a few feet. A moment to remember for certain.
Sleek and razor sharp, Barry's Millennium sword features an elegant 16" blade with Barry's classic Midnight finish. This no-nonsense blade is made from ¼" high carbon 5160 steel and tempered with Barry's custom heat treat. This produces a tough, shock resistant blade with a superior edge holding capability. This heat treat has been painstakingly developed over the lifetime of Barry's long career and is celebrated the world over for producing tough, battle ready blades.
The tough and durable Micarta handle is polished and shaped to fit perfectly into the hand, making these gorgeous blades a perfect and seamless extension of the arm. The Micarta is then overlaid with Barry's signature Japanese Interlocking Wrap for comfort and extra gripping power.
The high contrast hardline adds an authentic touch, following the proud tradition of the Samurai sword. Barry's Millenniums come in custom fitted black Kydex sheaths, designed to be worn on a belt or secured to a backpack or MOLLE vest. Overall length is approximately 23 ¾".
