Barry's Maximos Dagger has a razor sharp point for piercing and approximately 11" of double edged Damascus steel. More than twice the value of a single edged blade, double edged swords are in a class all their own. Barry's Maximos Dagger ranks as a masterpiece of art framed in hardened steel. The overall length of this piece is approximately 16".
The compact guard is an elegant oval shape made of 5160 steel with a dark gray antique finish and decorative notching on each side. This beautiful guard offers substantial hand protection and blade control while riding compactly and comfortably. The skill and experience of a lifetime are exemplified in Maximos.
This dagger is ground from American made high contrast Damascus steel forged by Brad Vice from a blend of 5160, 15N20, 52100 & Nickle. This eye-catching and unique blade is very tough with a razor sharp edge.
The polished handle is overlaid with Barry's intricate Interlocking Wrap in a heavy-duty flat Nylon cord. Barry's handmade Mosaic Pins add the perfect touch. The twists and knots on this wrap are the results of many years of experience that only a few in the entire world have managed to master. Very comfortable and highly slip resistant!
This beauty has been custom heat treated by Barry with his own custom process known the world over for the tough, shock resistant blades and superior edges it produces.
Maximos comes with its own custom fitted black leather sheath, specially designed to be worn tucked inside a sash or western style belt with a special holster stud.
