DawsonKnives did it again! They knocked this out of the park. There’s no option for pictures I took and would love to show them. It came exactly as described and looked. I honestly do love the leather/kydex sheaths. Many complain, but they hold oil very well. I’m able to keep them oiled for 3 months and still the same ridiculous sharpness when it arrived. I love this steel. I’m working to get bigger and bigger knives from DawsonKnives because of such quality. I’m workin to get one of their amazing katanas (Please just give me a huge discount! Haha) I’d rather take this knife versus a Spyderco, Buck, Chris Reeves, etc. Thank you again for another wonderful piece to my collection. I can’t wait for my next knife of the month. Also, I didn’t know I could add wrappings to handles and such. Could someone reach out to me before I order the next knife? I’d like to know what all I’m able to add/modify besides the customize option I see for the few models. Any help would be appreciated.
Almost to beautiful to use but I will start using it soon.
Finally got a War Dog. I had high expectations from the photos, description, and price, and was not disappointed! True to Dawson form on the fit, feel, and finish. Absolutely impeccable. This is my 6th Dawson. Looking forward to putting the War Dog through its paces this weekend. Keep up the great work!
Outcast | Personal Carry, General Purpose Knife | CPM-3V Steel | Satin Finish
Its an amazing knife, the Arizona copper looks even better in person. I highly recommend their knives.

Very well explained. I have just ordered one of your Javalina knives, and was interested in the blade and handle composition. Reading about both, plus the bending-don’t try this at home-makes me even more excited anticipating the delivery of this blade. And, at 69, it’s not easy to get me excited. Mike

I’ve studied on blade steels a little for the last few years, and this article is the best simplified explanation on 3V that I’ve read. I appreciate it.

Great article, the knife I’ve been using for years is a Blackjack Tac Ops4 1095 blade that was triple heated with sct and dct cryogenic treatments. It has been extremely tough, holds a good edge and is easy to sharpen. I am interested in a CPM 3V knife but I’m not sure about its difficulty in sharpening in the field. Your blades look awesome but most are sold out, so please email me when they become available.
Thank you
